Travelling from one country to another for any purpose like Education, Job, Business and Vacation, first thing one requires is a passport. A passport is a document, issued by a national government, which certifies the identity and nationality of its holder for the purpose of international travel.

The Consular Passport and Visa (CPV) Division of the Ministry of External Affairs is responsible for issuance of Indian Passport to Indian Citizens. This document is issued from 28 locations across the country and 160 Indian missions abroad. The passport can be applied in the passport office, having your present address area as its jurisdiction.

To apply for the passport, you need to get a passport application form from your Regional Passport Office or designated Speed Post Centers.  To serve the people of Andhra Pradesh, Ministry of External Affairs has set up Hyderabad Regional Passport Office, which was opened in 1976. And with moving times and needs, today Hyderabad Regional Passport Office is the second biggest office next to Mumbai Passport Office.

Seeing the overwhelming response for the requirement of Passport for various purposes among the citizens, Ministry of External Affairs has set up another passport office in Vishakapatnam which covers 5 coastal districts -Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Vishakhapatnam, East Godavari and West Godavari districts.

The candidates who wish to apply can obtain the application form from their respective regional passport office. Hyderabad Regional Passport Office is located at
Kummaraguda,
Secunderabad- 500 003.
